Michael Wherry, CPA brings over 16+ years of real-world, inside firm experience to every consulting and mentorship opportunity he is presented with in the profession. As a practitioner inside firms, he led various technology automation and process improvement initiatives over the years. As he made the transition from ‘Technical CPA’ to ‘Consultant CPA’ 5 years ago, he utilizes his unique skill sets and “been there, done that” know-how to optimize buy-in and inspire confidence for his clients.

Very few thought leaders in the profession have the combination of technical knowledge and understanding of the details, paired with being able to elevate and see the bigger picture. This is Michael’s true differentiator and why so many clients appreciate the leadership and facilitation style he brings to every project opportunity.

Michael earned his BA in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa and obtained his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate from the University of Georgia. Michael is licensed as a CPA in the state of Minnesota.

Dustin is the industry pioneer in applying Lean Six Sigma process improvement techniques to the CPA profession. Over the past 14+ years of consulting to the profession, he has worked with over 150 firms to enhance processes and optimize technology utilization, including working with over half of the top 100 firms in the country. In recent years, Dustin has become well-known in the profession in helping firms develop and execute upon creating compelling visions and transformation plans.

Dustin’s bold, yet encouraging, leadership and facilitation style is often described as a “breath of fresh air” from clients. He prides himself on being the trailblazer – and wants his clients to have that mindset as well. Benchmarks and best practices promote mediocrity.

Dustin earned his BSBA in Finance from The Ohio State University and both his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt certifications from Kent State University.

Dennis Sherrin, CPA/CGMA invested over 35 years working in CPA firms gaining significant understanding of firms from the staff level up to CEO/COO roles. Much of his career was spent championing innovative ways for firms to operate, believing many of the aspects of the traditional way CPA firms operate can be improved. Putting this belief into action, Dennis initiated the idea of Project 40™ which focuses on employee engagement and empowerment with the belief we can always find incredible new ways to successfully operate our practice while working less and still provide outstanding service to clients, vendors and each another.

He is passionate about continual learning and subscribes to the ideology that “life is your leadership class”. To that end, he relies on the keen observations of the client organizations he has worked with, over the years, to influence his ideology on vision, leadership, business and life-work balance. He believes every organization can find success by focusing on people, planning, processes, and technology – with PEOPLE being critical to that success. Dennis speaks to professionals on leadership, firm transformation and developing a future-focused organization.

Dennis is a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a BS in Accounting and is a Kolbe Certified Consultant. Dennis and his wife, Amy, reside in Fairhope, Alabama with their rescued dogs and cats. They share a love for traveling, hiking, kayaking and experiencing the foods of the local restaurants along their travel routes.
